Here are some tips to help you if you are just starting your first or second or whatever number site!
1.Have some basic knowledge of FTP && PHP, even if you want have to use it.
2.Know what type of content you want on your site before you make it.
3.Have good content!
4.Don't jock other peoples stuff and claim it as your own. Atleast give them credit on a credits page!
5.Advertise your site!!! [myspace, affies(affiliates),ask people to put your link on their profile to help get you more visitors,etc]
6.Have a good host. Make sure your host is reliable and is good with making sure all their files won't get hacked or lost.
7.Make sure you keep up with the rules of your host..so that way people won't come to your site and see nothing because didn't keep in touch with your host and they deleted your domain. I'm proud to say that's never happened to me because Freewebs doesn't require you to keep in touch with them! =]
